Blind Igbo woman known as Amarachi married a blind lawyer known as Thankgod.

The woman identified as Amarachi Onyekwere got married to a young lawyer known as Thankgod.

The young lady’s love story with her husband who is also living with a disability has melted hearts of many.

In an interview with BBC News Pidgin, she disclosed that some of the man’s family members disapproved of their relationship and they refused to give blessings for the marriage.

However, ThankGod said he refused to listen to people who were either mocking the relationship or advising them to part ways.

The lawyer who is well-to-do revealed that he had some unpleasant past experiences with ex-girlfriends because they were after his ‘money’.

But his worries about women moving to him just to enjoy his money became a thing of the past when he met in Amarachi.

On her part, the wife also said that men wanted to take advantage of of her because of her disability. Amarachi lamented that some of her husband’s people they always criticize him for getting married to a woman who can’t see.

But she says that she knows her husband is good-looking and she will always love him no matter what.

Their marriage which made headlines earlier this year attracted 15 Catholic Priests and government officials.

The couple are blessed with a child and they are already expecting the second, according to Amarachi.
